This week you have research homework to prepare you for the next lesson. Find out the names (and one or two key facts) of some of the Hindu deities (gods and goddesses). Statues of these deities are known as murtis.
For example:
Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth. She is the consort (wife) of Vishnu, sometimes seen as the Supreme God, or the Sustainer god.
